The Swedish type designer Lars Bergquist was born in 1936. He originally studied as a historian, but left the university to dedicate himself to the publishing industry. His work focused on encyclopedias and bibliographical references. With this experience, his interest in typography grew. At first, he was interested in the historical background of fonts and eventually he began to design his own typefaces. After he retired, he founded the Timberwolf font label. He now lives in Stockholm, Sweden.
