Masahiko Kozuka

Masahiko Kozuka has created fonts for hot metal type and phototypesetting and has also designed digital fonts. He began working for Mainichi Newspapers Co. Ltd. in 1952 and was involved in the development of the “Mainichi Ming-cho” newspaper font for hot metal typesetting. He later transferred to Morisawa Corp., where he designed phototypesetting fonts. He was commissioned by Adobe to supervise their development of Japanese fonts from 1992 to 2001.
