Beloved Familia tipográfica

Diseñado por  Laura Worthington
The Beloved Collection – the hand of a romantic spirit, rendered in ballpoint – featuring a lively script, a versatile and elegant sans and 80 decorative elements designed to complete the family. Beloved Script The hand of a romantic spirit, its monoline strokes evoke classic 20th-century penmanship achieved with a ballpoint or rounded nib. Beloved Script embodies a casual and natural state of handwriting: the semi-connected script. With over 1,000 swashes and alternates to choose from, including capitals, beginning, and ending forms, it can become a beautifully decorative spectacle, powerful for custom headlines and wordmarks. Beloved Sans A simple sans that likes to get swashy. It’s an all-capitals face with corresponding small capitals scaled to about 85% of the original letters — just enough differentiation to be distinctive in the display settings for which it’s designed. Beloved Sans includes over 800 swash and alternate forms, making it incredibly useful and versatile for wordmarks and distinctive headlines. The titling variant adds a hint of the Art Deco style, while the swashed capitals add calligraphic flair. Includes lining and old-style numerals. Beloved Ornaments feature 80 decorative elements designed to complement Beloved Script and Beloved Sans (or both!) See what’s included! ScriptSansOrnaments *NOTE* Basic versions DO NOT include swashes, alternates or ornaments These fonts have been specially coded for access of all the swashes, alternates and ornaments without the need for professional design software! Standard Ligatures

Etiqueta: liga

Función: Replaces a sequence of glyphs with a single glyph which is preferred for typographic purposes. This feature covers the ligatures which the designer/manufacturer judges should be used in normal conditions. The glyph for ffl replaces the sequence of glyphs f f l.

Contextual Alternates

Etiqueta: calt

Función: In specified situations, replaces default glyphs with alternate forms which provide better joining behavior. Used in script typefaces which are designed to have some or all of their glyphs join. In Caflisch Script, o is replaced by o.alt2 when followed by an ascending letterform.

Stylistic Alternates

Etiqueta: salt

Función: Many fonts contain alternate glyph designs for a purely esthetic effect; these don't always fit into a clear category like swash or historical. As in the case of swash glyphs, there may be more than one alternate form. This feature replaces the default forms with the stylistic alternates. The user applies this feature to Industria to get the alternate form of g.

Sylistic Set 1

Etiqueta: ss01

Función: In addition to, or instead of, stylistic alternatives of individual glyphs (see 'salt' feature), some fonts may contain sets of stylistic variant glyphs corresponding to portions of the character set, e.g. multiple variants for lowercase letters in a Latin font. Glyphs in stylistic sets may be designed to harmonise visually, interract in particular ways, or otherwise work together. Examples of fonts including stylistic sets are Zapfino Linotype and Adobe's Poetica. Individual features numbered sequentially with the tag name convention 'ss01' 'ss02' 'ss03' . 'ss20' provide a mechanism for glyphs in these sets to be associated via GSUB lookup indexes to default forms and to each other, and for users to select from available stylistic sets.

Initial Forms

Etiqueta: init

Función: Replaces glyphs at the beginnings of words with alternate forms designed for this use. This is common in Latin connecting scripts, and required in various non-Latins like Arabic. In the typeface Ex Ponto, the default t in the word 'type' is replaced with the t.begin form.

Terminal Forms

Etiqueta: fina

Función: Replaces glyphs at the ends of words with alternate forms designed for this use. This is common in Latin connecting scripts, and required in various non-Latins like Arabic. In the typeface Poetica, the default e in the word 'type' is replaced with the e.end form.

Terminal Forms #2

Etiqueta: fin2

Función: Replaces the Alaph glyph at the end of Syriac words with its appropriate form, when the preceding base character cannot be joined to, and that preceding base character is not a Dalath, Rish, or dotless Dalath-Rish. When an Alaph is preceded by a He, the Alaph would be replaced by an appropriate form.
This feature is used only for the Syriac script alaph character.

Kerning

Etiqueta: kern

Función: Adjusts amount of space between glyphs, generally to provide optically consistent spacing between glyphs. Although a well-designed typeface has consistent inter-glyph spacing overall, some glyph combinations require adjustment for improved legibility. Besides standard adjustment in the horizontal direction, this feature can supply size-dependent kerning data via device tables, "cross-stream" kerning in the Y text direction, and adjustment of glyph placement independent of the advance adjustment. Note that this feature may apply to runs of more than two glyphs, and would not be used in monospaced fonts. Also note that this feature does not apply to text set vertically. The o is shifted closer to the T in the combination "To."

Medial Forms

Etiqueta: medi

Función: Replaces glyphs in the middles of words (i.e. following a beginning and preceding an end) with alternate forms designed for this use. Note: This is different from the default form, which is designed for stand-alone use. This is common in Latin connecting scripts, and required in various non-Latins like Arabic. In the typeface Caflisch Script, the y and p in the word 'type' are replaced by the y.med and p.med forms.
