Hannes von Döhren and Livius F. Dietzel designed Livory between 2005 and 2010. The serif family consists of four styles, small caps, ornaments and ligatures. The designers were inspired by French Renaissance Antiquas of the 16th century. Livory has a warm, organic character and is designed for use in longer texts. The font features rounded corners and individual serifs. In larger sizes, it has a handmade feel. The OpenType font supports Central, Eastern and Western European languages. It also has small caps, fractions, old-style figures, various numeral sets, scientific characters, ligatures, ornaments and various arrows.
