Romany

Romany, an ornamental and lively script font

Romany

Numerous, sweeping curves and loops lend Romany™ by Terrance Weinzierl a very lively, ornamental character. Use this friendly script font for greeting cards and invitations, for example. Romany is also well suited to product packaging or posters.
Romany’s nearly monolinear letters were originally designed by A. R. Bosco in the 1930s. Bosco only designed one weight for hand typesetting. Although the font experienced a great deal of popularity, there was no version for phototypesetting. As a result, Romany fell into oblivion. Weinzierl finally brought the beautiful shapes of the font into the 21st century, expanding Romany into a small family of four styles.

Romany

Although the lively letters are not connected, Romany has the flair of a fluid, handwritten script font. The big curves lend the font a very vibrant, somewhat playful, but very open and friendly character. The lower-case “e” has the upper-case shape, which is another special touch.

Romany

Romany is available in two weights, Regular and Bold, and both have a dynamic italic with a significant slant.

Romany

In addition to the Western and Central European languages, Romany has Greek and Cyrillic letters.

Romany

The friendly, lively typeface has plenty of options for a script font, with its two weights and italic styles as well as the excellent character selection. It can also be used easily in international projects.
