Extreme Sans font family
Designed by Alex Kaczun in 1997
The inspiration for 'Extreme Sans' came from the rounded alpha numerics which appear on license plates. I always hated the mono-width proportions and tabular look of these letters, but I liked the overall compact letter form and rounded edges. I felt I could improve on the generic motor vehicles' cookie-cutter approach. It was an ambitious project which spanned a couple of years. But, it was definitely worth the effort. Behold, 'Extreme Sans' is the new 'Helvetica' of the 21st century. This enormous family of fonts can solve any typographic need. And the best part, it's easy on the eyes. And better still, no sharp edges to cut yourself.
