Dmitry Kirsanov was born in Orenburg in Russia in 1965, where he studied at the local art school. Since 1997, he has been lecturing on font design and computer graphics in the Department of Design of the Moscow State University of Printing Arts. He has been designing fonts for ParaType since 1996.
