Antonio Di Spigna was born on December 6, 1943 in Forio d’Ischia in Italy. After graduating from the Pratt Institute in New York City, he began working at Bonder & Carnase in 1967. Three years later, Di Spigna ended up at Lablin, Smith & Carnase. In 1973, he founded his own company, Tony Di Spigna, Inc. There, he designed exclusive typefaces, including fonts for WNET13 Public Television Stations, the Coca Cola Company and the Louis Dreyfus Corporation.
