Font Designer – Thomas Maitland Cleland

American designer born in Brooklyn in 1880. Died in Danbury, CT in 1964. Painter, illustrator, and book designer. Worked at the Caslon Press and the Merrymount Press. He founded his own press in Boston under the name “Cornhill Press”.
