Five Halloween Fonts – available as Value Pack for instant download

Five fonts for a frightfully fun Halloween celebration for only .

Halloween is right around the corner! For the new Halloween Value Pack, Linotype has pieced together three text typefaces and two symbol fonts, which are sure to offer unbeatable combinations for your Halloween design needs.

These typefaces are included in the Halloween Value Pack:

Linotype Alphabat™, a font of German designer Jan Tomás, is perfect for Halloween purposes. When you look closely to the font, the figures start to change from letters into flying bats and scary faces. Linotype Alphabat can be used for very short texts however it is particularly effective for headlines in larger point sizes so that its details are emphasized.

German artist Christina Sachse gave her font Linotype Boundaround™ a mystical feel. The vertical strokes meet the base line at a point and the strokes vary in their width. The lively typeface is suitable for shorter texts in point sizes 12 or larger and for headlines in larger point sizes.

The mysterious Spooky™, an alphabet to frighten even the bravest, was created by British designer Timothy Donaldson. The figures line themselves up, irregular and with uneven outer contours, and conjure up thoughts of ghosts, bats, vampires and darkness. Spooky is the ideal font for ghost stories with happy endings, a parody on horror and romance.

The ultra-spooky typeface Linotype Freak Cabinet™ was created by Swiss designer Urs Lehni. Quite possibly the scariest selection in our entire library, this symbol font is a collection of various faces and heads that are drawn in a style similar to expressionist woodcut prints. These visages – one for every sort of Halloween mask you could image – stare out at you in the most frightening ways.

American designer Steve Zafarana designed ITC Gargoonies™. Originally devised for the practical architectural purpose of draining rainwater clear of buildings, Gargoyles evolved during medieval times into spiritual forces warding off evil, chaos and danger. In modern times, they have attained their teleological apotheosis in the form of computer monitor ornaments and Hollywood movie characters. Now, these grotesqueries are available for easy use in print or pixel. Whether you’re designing a major new French cathedral or sending a note to an eager-to-be-scared grandchild, you will find a plentiful selection of images to choose from in this typeface.
