OpenType and Web Security
OpenType fonts may contain digital signatures. Digital signatures allow operating systems and web browsers to validate the integrity and identify the source and integrity of font files before using them.
As with TrueType fonts OpenType fonts contain information on the embedding possibilities for a specific font in accordance to the license agreement for the font. Linotype has a standard embedding of “print & preview” in all fonts with the standard license agreement.
