Taking a different approach: The Grunge Selection

Grunge Selection

There are times when the clean and trim lines of traditional typographic forms are out of place and the context seems to call for fonts that are more rough and ready. On such occasions, fonts whose process of development and underlying concepts are apparent are needed – in other words, typefaces that can give adverts, posters and flyers the necessary pizzazz.
We are offering five of these very diverse fonts in our Grunge Selection. You will find that the fonts provided in the contemporary OpenType format will add spice and piquancy to your projects.

Brief information on the fonts making up the Selection:

 Killer Ants Regular
With its almost obliterated forms, Killer Ants Regular by Todd Dever is unconventional, graphically striking and amazingly laid-back.

DF Roadkill Heavy
On closer inspection, it becomes apparent that the stamped-like forms of Rian Hughes’s Roadkill Heavy owe much to stencil fonts.

1913 Typewriter Carbon Normal
Worn type bars, coarse ribbon and clapped-out mechanism – 1913 Typewriter Carbon Normal by Gilles Le Corre reproduces the effect of typing using an old typewriter.

F2F Czykago Semi Serif
The slightly deformed outlines of F2F Czykago Semi Serif by Alexander Branczyk were inspired by the old Apple system font Chicago and convey the spirit and upbeat mood of the early techno style of the 1990s.

AdPro Black
The designer of AdPro™ Black, Roman Sehrer, created it by digitalising his own handwriting. He recommends using the casual and buoyant font for such items as posters, logos and menus.
