Inspiration for Dragonfly BF came from such early 20th century typefaces as Windsor and Greeting Monotone. It’s a bit eccentric, but in a funky-cool way. It’s named after one of my favorite insects, a fascinating creature which is the only one (that I’m aware of), besides the hummingbird, that’s capable of flight in all directions: up, down, left, right, forwards and backwards. What an air show! Dragonfly Closed BF is of course the same font style, however, it’s without the stencil breaks present in the primary design. Stylistic Alternates for capitals I, and N, as well as lowercase f, i, j and y, are included in both fonts. Dragonfly fits in well in a variety of settings such as logotypes, signage, music and games packaging, or even techno sci-fi. Though it is meant primarily for display, it can certainly be employed in short paragraphs of large text.
