Born 1880 in Brooklyn; died 1964 in Danbury, Connecticut.
Painter, illustrator, stage and book designer. Studied at the Artisan Institute in Chelsea, New York. Worked as a type designer for Caslon Press and Merrymount Press. Founded Cornhill Press in Boston. Typographic designer of Fortune magazine.
