Le créateur et éducateur letton Gustav Grinbergs a conçu Stencil Moonlight afin d'illuminer la scène des polices stencil. Conçue comme une police vivace et semi-formelle, elle arbore des formes souples et compactes. Cette famille donne aux pages un aspect très lourd car ses lettres sont de conception très épaisse. Stencil Moonlight est disponible en deux polices séparées, Regular et Small Caps. Lorsqu'elles sont utilisées ensemble, elles permettent de créer une combinaison parfaite qui répondra à vos besoins en matière d'affichage.
Stencil Moonlight est particulièrement adaptée aux grandes tailles, qui mettent en valeur le fait que ses formes sont issues d'une expérimentation de conception au stencil. Grinbergs recommande l'utilisation de cette famille pour les emballages, la publicité, les affiches et même pour le sous-titrage de films étrangers.
La famille Stencil Moonlight a fini deuxième de sa catégorie lors de l'édition 2003 du Concours international de création de fontes numériques sponsorisé par Linotype.
