Indus de Linotype fait partie de la bibliothèque TakeType, qui contient les polices primées lors des éditions 1994 à 1997 du Concours international de création de fontes numériques sponsorisé par Linotype. Les racines historiques d'Indus, conçue par l'Indien P.H. Hashim, remontent aux inscriptions retrouvées sur d'anciennes tombes en Inde. Indus possède par conséquent une apparence unique et est très polyvalente en taille intermédiaire ou de titre. Elle se combine parfaitement aux polices sans empattement et aux polices mécanes.
