Indus de Linotype fait partie de la bibliothèque TakeType, qui contient les polices primées lors des éditions 1994 à 1997 du Concours international de création de fontes numériques sponsorisé par Linotype. Les racines historiques d'Indus, conçue par l'Indien P.H. Hashim, remontent aux inscriptions retrouvées sur d'anciennes tombes en Inde.
