Jürgen Weltin was born on May 8th, 1969 in Constance. After schooling and swimming a lot in the Lake of Constance he worked in a publishing house before he started to study graphic design at the Technical College in Würzburg. Balega is stencil-like display font, created by German designer Jürgen Weltin in 2003. Balega's letters are very bold, and have a slight italic slant. While some of the uppercase forms appear somewhat sharp, the lowercase is definitively round and friendly. Text set in Balega has a very forward moving motion, as the slant makes all of the letters seem to be lunging toward the right. This gives the typeface a very dynamic feel. Balega est une fonte d'affichage de type pochoir, créée par le graphiste allemand Jürgen Weltin en 2003. D'une forte épaisseur, les lettres de Balega sont légèrement inclinées. Si certaines majuscules ont un aspect plutôt tranchant, les minuscules, elles, sont plutôt conviviales et arrondies. Du fait de l'inclinaison à droite des ses caractères, Balega semble résolument tournée vers l'avenir. Cette caractéristique donne à la fonte un aspect dynamique. Les contrepoinçons des lettres étant très étroits, nous conseillons d'utiliser Balega dans les affiches et les compositions de grande taille, dans lesquelles la police pourra exprimer toutes ses qualités.
