LinoLetter 2007/08
Morris Fuller Benton, FontExplorer X, and ITC Avant Garde Gothic
| ! Welcome to the Current Issue of the LinoLetter ! |
Introduction:
Among the topics we’d like to present this month, the famous early-20th century type designer Morris Fuller Benton comes up twice: first, in a new Font Feature detailing many of his designs, as well as the designs his work inspired; and, second, for a 2003 calligraphic addition to the Monotype library – French Script™. Additionally, we are pleased to announce that the integrated store inside our free font management application, FontExplorer™ X, has been thoroughly redesigned. It also now has many more fonts available to try, purchase, and download! Finally, we’d like to direct your attention to the newest digital version of ITC Avant Garde Gothic™ in our library. These “Pro” fonts from ITC include a number of famous ligatures and alternates from the height of the 1970s. Rediscover them today, right here in the LinoLetter.
Have fonts of fun!The next issue of this newsletter will be published and dropped in your mailbox in September 2007.
