Bernhard Fashion (1929) The German-born designer Lucian Bernhard designed Bernhard Fashion in 1929. An “American” typeface, Bernhard’s original design was created for the American Type Founders (ATF). It bespeaks the spirit of the roaring 20s. Elle exprime l'esprit des Années folles. Les caractères filiformes possèdent des ascendantes longues (mais pas de descendantes) et de nombreux éléments stylisés. Toutes les majuscules s'étendent au-dessous de la ligne de base. Dans du texte, les majuscules très larges ressemblent presque à des lettrines descendantes.
