Quelles fontes utilisent les films ? Nous remarquons sans cesse des caractères exceptionnels, humoristiques ou romantiques sur les affiches ou dans les bandes annonces de films, en nous demandant de quelles fontes il s’agit. Bien souvent, les sociétés de production de film créent elles-mêmes leurs caractères, qu’elles utilisent uniquement pour les besoins de leurs propres distributions.
Toutefois, nombreuses sont les fontes de notre vaste bibliothèque Linotype qui, ressemblant à certains de ces dessins, traduisent la même atmosphère que le film.

Pour les crédits du film, apparaissant sous les gros titres, des caractères extrêmement étroits sont presque toujours utilisés. Notre fonte ITC Roswell illustre parfaitement ce style.
