Cascade Script a été imaginée par Matthew Carter, créateur également de Shelley Script et Snell Roundhand Script, toutes deux inspirées de polices historiques. Cascade Script est une police calligraphique sage mais gaie, aux contours légèrement angulaires, qui semble avoir été dessinée avec un stylo à large mine. Elle rappelle les années 1940, pendant lesquelles les polices modernes étaient principalement utilisées pour les supports publicitaires. Avec ses formes équilibrées et dynamiques, l'agréable police de caractères Cascade Script est particulièrement adaptée aux textes courts et aux titres.
