The redesign of Optima® nova Italic
Optima nova Italic differs greatly from the old slanted roman of the original Optima. The new italic forms of the e, f and g are especially notable.

Optima® nova, along with Avenir® Next, Compatil®, Eurostile® Next, Frutiger® Next, Sabon® Next, Linotype Syntax®, Linotype Syntax® Letter, Linotype Syntax® Serif and Linotype Univers®, belongs to the fonts of the Linotype Platinum Collection.
