The Namibian-German designer, Christine Voigts, created the font Linotype Dropink™ in 1999. Linotype Dropink is part of the TakeType Library, chosen from the entries of the 1999 International Digital Type Design Contest.

In the middle of a world war, a few writers, painters, sculptors, musicians and typographers wanted to use their crafts to change the world overnight. Great minds gathered especially in Switzerland, where those who had emigrated for a variety of reasons had found asylum. They wanted to eliminate once and for all the empty shell of art and society and the intellectual and emotional factors which set the stage for conflict.
