The German designer Dieter Kurz created the fonts Matthia™ (1994), and Linotype Sketch™ (1997). Linotype Sketch is included in the Take Type Library, chosen from the contestants of Linotype's International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. Dieter Kurz a créé Matthia en 1994. Il s'agit d'une scripte fluide et étroite composée de caractères au pinceau. En raison de ses caractères au style manuscrit et cependant verticaux, Matthias possède une apparence à la fois sobre et vive, statique et dynamique. Cette fonte, qui rappelle les caractères très répandus dans les publicités des années 1950, est extrêmement polyvalente. Matthia convient aux textes courts en petites tailles ou aux titres d'affiche en grandes tailles.

Matthia fait partie de la bibliothèque Take Type, qui contient les fontes primées lors des éditions 1994 et 1997 du Concours international de création de fontes numériques sponsorisé par Linotype.
