Linotype Pide Nashi fait partie de la bibliothèque Take Type. Elle a été sélectionnée parmi les fontes en compétition lors des éditions 1994 et 1997 du Concours international de création de fontes numériques sponsorisé par Linotype. Cette fonte a été créée par l'artiste allemande Verena Gerlach. Au premier coup d'œil, elle a l'apparence d'une fonte arabe mais en la regardant plus attentivement, les formes familières deviennent plus claires. Elle doit son apparence arabe aux minuscules arrondies, aux majuscules généreuses et majestueuses, et aux ornements en forme de diamant. Linotype Pide Nashi est une fonte exotique qu'il est conseillé d'utiliser pour les textes courts et de longueur moyenne, et surtout pour les textes ornementaux.
