Linotype Not Painted fait partie de la bibliothèque Take Type. Elle a été sélectionnée parmi les fontes en compétition lors des éditions 1994 et 1997 du Concours international de création de fontes numériques sponsorisé par Linotype. Cette fonde ludique du graphiste allemand Robert Bucan attire instantanément l'attention. Ses formes sont le résultat d'une superposition. Les caractères de l'alphabet majuscule, les chiffres et les signes de ponctuation sont constitués de deux styles différents superposés d'un même caractère. Les minuscules ont été créées en superposant les formes majuscule et minuscule d'une même lettre. Linotype Not Painted convient particulièrement aux titres en grandes tailles.
