Ergo & Really No 2 are an unbeatable pan-European type system

Ergo
In April, we introduced Gary Munch’s Really™ No 2, a serif family with support for all three European scripts: Cyrillic, Greek, and Latin. We teamed up with Gary Munch again to upgrade Linotype Ergo™ to our new “W1G” standard. Whichever languages you need to set, the new Ergo typeface family is there for you. Originally released in 1997 under the name “Linotype Ergo,” this sans serif design blends traditional and modern concepts while working both as a legible text family and as a lively headline selection. Ergo’s strokes are carefully tuned to accommodate the tendency of the eye to enlarge horizontals and perceive verticals as lighter. Its lowercase forms have open counters enhanced by small quirks, such as the slightly leaning s, or the wide t. The deep branching of curves from main strokes helps make Ergo, which means “consequently,” quite readable at smaller sizes, too. It should come as no surprise that it also comes from the Greek “ergon,” meaning “work.”
The new Ergo is available in four separate versions: W1G, Pro, Greek Pro, or Cyrillic Pro. Each version offers different levels of language and script support. The Ergo W1G fonts include both Cyrillic and Greek coverage, in addition to a Latin character set that supports virtually every European language. Customers who do not require this level of language support may choose from the Ergo Pro fonts (just the Latin script), Ergo Greek Pro fonts (Latin and Greek), or Ergo Cyrillic Pro fonts (which include both Latin and Cyrillic).

Linotype Classics Collection
When Linotype released its “Classics Collection,” it was an instant hit with customers. At that time, the most commonly used fonts were still the old PostScript Type 1 and TrueType formats. Linotype is pleased to announce the reintroduction of its “Classics Collection,” this time packed solely with OpenType fonts.
The Linotype OpenType Classics Collection includes many of the most popular selections from our library, including favorites like Frutiger®, Futura®, Gill Sans®, Neue Helvetica®, Stempel Garamond™, and Univers®. These brands have established themselves as standards for daily practice within the design and corporate communications industries. The Linotype Classics Collection forms the perfect basis for old and new design studios alike, and offers real saving potential by removing the need to license every typeface separately.

ITC Migration Sans
Through his hands-on experience choosing fonts as a graphic designer, André Simard – who is relatively new to the font market – developed a type family with a good measure of design sensibility. His ITC Migration™ Sans suite of fonts offers five readable weights that can be utilized across a variety of projects. Expect more to come from this designer-turned-typophile.

Linotype GoldEdition 2.0
Linotype’s GoldEdition 2.0 DVD includes all the PostScript and TrueType fonts from Linotype, Monotype, and ITC. With over 7,500 styles (more than 20,000 fonts), this is the largest collection of top quality fonts, nearly doubling the number of fonts included in the previous GoldEdition release, version 1.7.1. The GoldEdition 2.0 DVD’s price structure can be precisely adapted to your needs. The basic license covers 10 workplaces and can be extended through multiuser licenses. Linotype offers an upgrade path for users of previous GoldEdition versions as well.
