Football Jersey Fonts
Football is in the air! Like all great team sports, football (or soccer, if you are in the US) inspires its fans to identify with their favorite team’s players, and sometimes even with a specific city or country. Each football team has its own visual identity, and the appearance of their logos and jerseys are one of the most exciting areas of graphic design. Studies law at the University of Aix-en-Provence. Studied painting in Paris, works as a graphic designer. 1947: opens his studio. Co-founder of the U + O (Urbi et Orbi) advertising agency in Paris. Antique Olive has been designed by the famous french type designer Roger Excoffon. In 1960 he first designed the Nord and Nord italic. Which perfectly fits for advertising, signage and poster purposes. The Bold and Compact weights had been designes in 1963. Later in 1965 the Black weight was released. Finally in 1968 the Bold Condensed and in 1969 the Roman and iIalic weights had been released. Antique Olive has a very large x-height and open letterforms, therefore it is very readable and ideal for smaller point sizes.
