Attention-Getting Any Way You Set It – Linotype Konflikt

With Linotype Konflikt, designer Stefan Pott created one of the most striking designs of 1990s-era typography. This headline face brings together two diametrically opposed worlds: the computer look and calligraphy. With Linotype Konflikt, setting headlines with an extreme degree of attention-grabbing detail is more possible than ever before The inspiration behind this unique design occurred after Stefan Pott became inspired by the conflict between the appearances of typefaces in print and on computer screens. Out of this dialectic came a font in which every character has aspects of both flowing handwriting and angular pixel-like strokes. Linotype Konflikt is part of the Take Type 2.1 Library , which features winners of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contests from 1994 to 1997.
