The Sans Serif Typefaces

After the pioneer period of the sans serif was over and it became one of the standard typeface styles, one could step back and truly appreciate the abstract, balanced, cool or skeletal forms. As in every classification group there are loud forms as well as soft, elegant as well as brash, static and dynamic, etc. There are just as many easily legible and not so legible typefaces among the sans serifs as there are in any other typeface group.

It is in any case uncontested that the linear antiqua sans serifs were the original typefaces of the 20th century.
