Font Designer – Arne Freytag

German designer Arne Freytag created the font Linotype Freytag™ in 2002.
Linotype Freytag is a display family of sans serif typefaces based on lettering work done at the Bauhaus during the 1920s. Arne Freytag, was so inspired by these historic letterforms that he developed them into working fonts for the 21st century. But these are not strict digitisations of old forms; instead Arne Freytag redeveloped the forms, making them more legible and up to date. However, Linotype Freytag is still true to the original model, and is one of the best “Bauhaus” fonts available.
Arne Freytag completed much of the work on Linotype Freytag while undertaking graduate work in typeface design in France.
