The Dutch designer Designer Marc Lubbers created the fonts Linotype Impacta™ and Linotype LuMarc™ in 1994. Both fonts are included in the Take Type Library, chosen from the contestants of Linotype's International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. Linotype Impacta and Linotype LuMarc are included in the Linotype Library.

Die Linotype Impacta gehört zu den Schriften der TakeType Library. Diese wurden aus der Fülle der Einsendungen der 1994 und 1997 von Linotype ausgeschriebenen Wettbewerbe International Digital Type Design Contest ausgewählt. Die Impacta wurde vom Niederländer Marc Lubbers gestaltet. Die Buchstabenfiguren besitzen gleichbleibende Strichstärken. Die unterschiedlich schrägen Buchstabenausläufe prägen in besonderem Maße den Charakter dieser Schrift. Der Grundaufbau der Buchstaben zeigt Parallelen zur konstruktivistischen Bewegung am Anfang der 30er Jahre. Überall dort, wo im modernen Grafikdesign ein konstruktivistisches Element mit stark individuell geprägtem Ausdruck eingefügt werden soll, ist dieses Alphabet sowohl in kleineren als auch in größeren Graden uneingeschränkt anwendbar.
