Michael Parson – Born 10.1.1979 in Geneva, Switzerland – Graphic Designer, Type Designer, Illustrator. 1998–2002 – Studies Graphic Design at the Ecole Cantonale D'art de Lausanne & Bellecour Genève. 2001 – Creates, as a student project, Type Garage as a support to his type experiments. Die Hexatype ist Teil einer Serie von typografischen Experimenten des jungen Schweizer Designers Michael Parson. Hier kreierte er ein faszinierendes System von Linien auf der Basis eines Sechsecks. Ein mit Hexatype gesetzter Text wirkt wie eine Bienenwabe. Einen anderen Effekt können Sie erzielen, indem Sie die Buchstaben überlappend anordnen. Gut geeignet sind die Elemente der Hexatype auch für den Entwurf von Logos. Eine gute Begleitschrift für die Hexatype ist die Linotype Ned Std. Beide diese Fonts, zusammen mit acht weiteren experimentellen Schriften von Parson, sind Teil der Take Type 5-Collection.
