Orion™ Hermann Zapf made his first scetches for Orion in 1963. Zapf's aim was to create a neutral textface which can be ideally used as a newspaper face. Its strokethickness and open letterforms also fits well for book and magazine production. The final two weights of Orion were released in 1974 for the Linofilm photocomposing machine. Die 1950 von Hermann Zapf entworfene Sistina hieß zunächst Aurelia Titling. Sie ist eine fette Ergänzung zur Michelangelo Titling und beruht auf Studien von Inschriften, die der Schriftgestalter in Rom besichtigte. Ursprünglich 1951 als Bleischrift von der D. Stempel AG, Frankfurt herausgebracht, war die Sistina vorerst eine reine Versalschrift. Die digitale Version von Linotype beinhaltet jedoch auch Kapitälchen. Hermann Zapf und Akira Kobayashi, der typografische Director bei Linotype, schufen eine neue Version der Sistina, die ¿Palatino Imperial¿. Sie gehört zur Palatino Nova-Schriftfamilie (ein Produkt in der Platinum Collection von Linotype).
