Venture Script reflects Hermann Zapfs handwriting. It was originally written with a Japanese feltpen. And like with Zapfs typeface Noris Script™ he wanted to preserve the rough outline of the handwritten form in the final drawings. Venture Script was made also for the Linofilm photocomposing system and released in 1969.

Die ITC Zapf Book® Schriftfamilie ist in der ITC Collection-Bibliothek enthalten.
Die Zapf Book ist das Werk von Hermann Zapf, eine gelungene Mischung aus den Merkmalen der Walbaum, Melior und der kontrastierenden Strichstärken der Bodoni. Es handelt sich hier um eine echte Zapf-Schrift: Originalität ohne Exzentrizität, ausgeprägtes typografisches Gefühl und feine Ausgestaltung der Buchstaben, ein weiterer Beweis für Zapfs Überzeugung, dass ein Alphabet nicht bloß eine Sammlung von einzelnen Zeichen ist, sondern eine harmonische Einheit bilden muss.
