Award-winning annual reports use the Compatil Type System

Every year the German business magazine “Manager Magazin” holds a competition to determine the best annual reports published in the German-speaking world. From the submitted public corporations who published their 2005 annual reports in early 2006, Manager Magazin released their jury’s favorites in the October 2006 issue.
Manager Magazin picked the top ten annual reports in six different business categories, and their jury selected an overall top ten as well. Virtually every premiered annual report used fonts from Linotype in some way or another, whether as the text face, in headlines, or for ornament. However, seven corporations chose to turn to Compatil, a member of Linotype’s Platinum Collection, for their 2005 annual reports – a wise decision, as Compatil was created to include everything one could ever want in a financial communications family.
From the overall top ten, the following companies used Compatil in their annual reports:
Gildemeister (#5)
Gfk (#8)
Fresenius (#10)
Additionally, Volkswagen placed #9 and Bayer #10 in the Dax-30 category.
