The OpenType Essentials is a series of must-have packages of typefaces from Linotype, ITC, and Monotype that have proved successful, as well as typefaces that are particularly visually appealing. These packages are extremely useful: each product combines serif and sans serif typefaces, display faces, script faces, historical typefaces, and even symbol fonts. A single package offers a keystone that allows users to test the full spectrum of typographic options, while all packages in the product range complement each other, and together form a library of possibilities that leaves virtually no stone unturned. OpenType Essentials 2 contains 60 OpenType fonts, each handpicked from the Linotype library. The package's highlights include classics like Bauer Bodoni™, New Century Schoolbook™, News Gothic™, ITC Stone™, and Times Europa™. 25 Fonts are equipped with the Linotype Com character set, and thereby support 48 Latin-based languages, including those used in from Central and Eastern Europe. Additionally, four fonts include small caps, and 13 include old style figures, three include proportional lining figures, and two include additional ligatures. All text fonts in the package contain a euro symbol. If these 60 OpenType fonts were delivered in traditional PostScript or TrueType formats, 102 fonts would be necessary in order for all of their features to be accessed! All fonts in this collection are in the OpenType format, compatible with both Mac OS and Windows.
