Die Egyptienne-Schrift Calvert von Margaret Calvert trägt den Charakter des Gebauten und Konstruierten. Eine Besonderheit dieser Schrift sind ihre auffällig gestalteten Serifen. So besitzen viele Figuren "halbe" Serifen, wie zum Beispiel zu beobachten beim A, M oder X, was eine konstruktivistische Anmutung bewirkt. Die Calvert zeigt sich zeitlos modern und hat ein statisches, schweres Schriftbild. Aufgrund der Robustheit ihrer Figuren ist sie besonders für Überschriften geeignet.
