Die Wilhelm Klingspor Gotisch erschien 1925 bei der Schriftgießerei Klingspor in Offenbach am Main. Rudolf Koch orientierte sich bei der Gestaltung dieser an den Schriften gotischen Typus des 14. Jahrhunderts. Die historischen Formen der Wilhelm Klingspor Gotisch haben eine sehr statische und kantige Anmutung. Mit ihrer sakralen Wirkung steht sie aber auch für die besonders anheimelnde Suggestion bei der Anwendung gebrochener Schriften in der Produktwerbung. Aufgrund ihrer ornamentalen Buchstabenformen, die nicht den heutigen Lesegewohnheiten entsprechen, eignet sie sich in erster Linie für kurze Texte, nicht kleiner als 12 pt, und Überschriften.
