Die Smack der Gestalterin Jill Bell richtet sich eindeutig an die junge Generation, die sich nicht an starre Regeln und Vorschriften halten möchte. Die Smack lädt zu einem ungezwungenen und spielerischen Umgang mit Schrift ein. Ihre Figuren scheint die Ästhetik des Zufalls geprägt zu haben. Buchstaben mit dünnen und dicken Strichstärken wechseln sich im Schriftbild ab, begleitet von feinen Punkten, die wie kleine Tintenkleckse die Zeilen zieren.
