The graphic designer Oliver Brentzel created Linotype Spitz™ in 1997. Das dekorative Motiv des Chrysler-Gebäudes in New York gab den Ausschlag zu dieser Linotype-Schrift. Die Linotype Spitz kombiniert spitze und halbrunde Elemente, deren Zusammenspiel einen ganz eigenen ästhetischen Reiz erzeugt. Weder das Chrysler-Gebäude noch die Linotype Spitz halten sich strikt an geometrische Regeln: Bei beiden nehmen die optischen Aspekte den höheren Stellenwert ein. Die Linotype Spitz zeichnet sich durch ihr elegantes Erscheinungsbild aus und ist ideal für Plakate und für Werbeanwendungen.
