The German artist Michael Struller created the font Linotype Salamander™ in 1997. Linotype Salamander is part of the TakeType Library, chosen from contestants of Linotype's International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. The font seems to be composed of strokes and curves jointed together to form characters. Yet Linotype Salamander also looks like a handwriting font, in part because of its slight lean to the right.
