American designer Gary Munch created the fonts Linotype Ergo™ (1997), Linotype Finerliner™ (1997) and Linotype Really™ (1999). Die von Gary Munch entworfene Linotype Really ist eine Schriftfamilie mit sechs Schriftstärken mit Kursivschnitten und Kapitälchen, die eine breite Palette von Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten bietet, von zurückhaltend leicht bis zu laut und fett. Der mäßig bis starke Kontrast zwischen den vertikalen und den horizontalen Balken erinnert an die Barock-Antiqua und die ¿modernen¿ Klassizistischen Antiqua-Stile der Baskerville und der Bodoni, während die leicht schräge Achse der Balken sich an das ¿alte¿ (Renaissance-Antiqua) Design einer Caslon anlehnen. Eine Reihe kräftiger Endstriche rundet den Eindruck einer klaren, lesbaren, zweckdientlichen Textschrift ab, deren saubere Details dem Designer eine wirksame Display-Schrift an die Hand geben.
