Die Linotype Pide Nashi gehört zu den Schriften der Take Type Library . Diese wurden aus der Fülle der Einsendungen der 1994 und 1997 von Linotype ausgeschriebenen Wettbewerbe International Digital Type Design Contest ausgewählt.

Die Linotype Pide Nashi der Schriftkünstlerin Verena Gerlach ist auf den ersten Blick kaum als arabische Schrift zu erkennen. Erst auf den zweiten Blick erschliessen sich die Bedeutungsinhalte der Wortfiguren, die aus tausend und einer Nacht entsprungen zu sein scheinen. Runde geschwungene Kleinbuchstaben mit geringer Mittellänge und ausladende Grossbuchstaben geben der Schrift ihre arabisch-ornamentale Wirkung, verstärkt noch durch die ins Buchstabenbild integrierten Karos, die die Figuren schmücken. Die schwungvoll-exotische Linotype Pide Nashi eignet sich für kurze und mittellange Texte, sowie Überschriften. Durch ihre robuste Zeichenführung eignet sie sich auch für schmuckhafte Prägungen.
