Die Humanistika die Hellmut G. Bomm 1997 gestaltete, orientiert sich an der Humanistischen Kursive, die in der Buch- und Schriftkunst am Beginn der Renaissance stand. Der Schriftschöpfer Hellmut G. Bomm ist in der freien Kunst genauso beheimatet, wie in der Umsetzung mit den modernen Medien. Die Humanistika mit ihrer sehr klassischen und kalligrafischen Anmutung liegt in zwei Versionen vor. Der Schnitt Linotype Humanistika DFR beinhaltet das lange s, welches innerhalb von Silben gesetzt wird. An Wort- und Silbenanfängen verwendet man das uns heute geläufige runde s. Erst mit der Anwendung beider Schnitte erlangt man die entsprechende historische Anmutung.
