The Linotype High Noon Value Pack is a collection of five Wild West fonts. The fonts are all reminiscent of the large wood typefaces that were used for posters and advertising in 19th Century America. Because of this historical pedigree, these five fonts should all be used in large point sizes and for display applications.

Cottonwood is an all caps, unicase typeface that emphasizes its serifs and terminals, which are much heavier than its forms' strokes. The face's design is a synthesis of several old western wood type styles, rather than a revival of one specific historical model. Two additional all caps and unicase fonts, Mesquite and Rosewood, offer further decorative variations on the Wild West theme: Mesquite's forms are long and narrow, while Rosewood is a 3D, shadowed design.

Old Town No 536 includes both upper and lowercase letterforms. This design in made in the Italienne style, a sort of slab serif that was very popular during the late 1800s. Italienne typefaces all have very heavy serifs, which create an interesting "picket fence" effect across a line of text.

The last font in the package, ITC Wild West, is a symbol font containing all of the cowboy-like pictograms one could ever need. The font includes such symbols as a ten-gallon hat, horseshoes, revolvers, and steer skulls.
