Stencil™ Value Pack is part of the Linotype Originals.
Stencil Value PackStencil fonts look as if they came from an old commercial artist's toolbox. They provide the perfect touch to documents that require a tactile headline or display element. Linotype has collected its five favorite examples into one value pack; let these designs inspire your next project!Two fonts with "clean" edges to them are Linotype Authentic™ Stencil and Glaser Stencil. Developed by German designer Karin Huschka in 1999, Linotype Authentic™ Stencil has the most contemporary feeling of the fonts in this value pack. Part of her extensive 40-member Linotype Authentic™ type family, Linotype Authentic™ Stencil's appearance is very industrial, and the font contains both upper and lowercase letters, making it unique among many stencil fonts. Glaser Stencil is a classic contribution from the world-renowned New York designer/illustrator Milton Glaser. This all caps font has quite a New York feeling to it, with its modernist letter shapes.
The remaining three fonts in this value pack each appear to have "broken-down" edges. ITC Portago™ is a condensed design from the Argentinean designer Luis Siquot. Inspired by the sort of corroded lettering found on old crates and luggage, Siquot's design has both uppercase and small caps letters and numerals. Rubber Stamp™, an all caps design from the 1980s, was designed by British designer Alan Birch. Its letters are bolder than any of the other designs described here. Rounding out the value pack is Linotype Sjablony™, which was developed by Dutch designer Mark Van Wageningen. An all caps and monospace font, Linotype Sjablony 's letters appear as if they have aged to the point where parts of them have been worn-off altogether.
