About ITC Pioneer™ No2 ...
Designer: Ronnie Bonder / Tom Carnase, 1970
ITC Pioneer™ No2 belongs to the ITC Pioneer™ Font Family which is part of the ITC Collection.
Pioneer font is an experimental all-caps alphabet designed by Ronne Bonder and Tom Carnase. The basic forms are constructed from a rectangle. Slants and cross-strokes are extremely fine and curves are missing almost completely, giving the typeface a technical, cool look.
The figures are backed by a shadow, making them look three-dimensional.
Pioneer font is a good choice for experimental typography especially in trendy applications. It should only be used in large and very large point sizes.
