Alfie: A charming brush font in four styles

Alfie With three different styles and small caps, Jim Ford’s new, friendly brush font Alfie™ gives you what you need for personalizing your packaging or creating greeting card designs and for advertising.

About Alfie

Not only his own experiments with a pointed brush, but also photo-inscriptions of the 50s and 60s inspired Jim Ford when designing the forms of Alfie. The separate letters show the clear influence of a friendly and highly readable script font, with additional curves and small ornaments to enhance the lively character of the font. In the different styles, Ford emphasizes the endearing and gentle flair, or the strong and comic character of the font. While the somewhat angular details of Alfie Casual make font appear rather formal, the solid lines and serifs of Alfie Informal bring a casual, fun atmosphere to the fore. By contrast, with its very rounded form and big curves, Alfie Script appears to be rather dynamic and somewhat playful. Alfie Small Caps comes with small caps based on the shapes of the Casual style.
All four styles have the same basic shape and are well coordinated in terms of weight and morphology, so that these fonts can be perfectly combined with one another and can also be used for logos, where it is possible to interchange single characters.
Jim Ford’s Alfie is a highly readable and versatile brush font that brings variety and personal expression into your designs with its friendly, lively, but also playful and comic appeal.
